About Steve Bolton
Without Steve, there would be no Steve’s Heart. Steve was a small town newspaper owner, editor, publisher, photographer and only employee of the weekly Comanche Times newspaper for almost three decades. His articles quickly became more than just about work. He showed a passion for those around him and the community embraced him. For many years, his heart fueled many community projects and showed a capacity for anyone that wanted to be loved by him.
In 2018 while photographing the high school football team, Steve had a heart attack. The school had obtained several automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and trained their coaches to use them. Steve’s life was extended by these heroes to where he was able to see his first grandchild’s birth. Sadly, he passed later that year. His legacy still continues in Comanche, Oklahoma and he is greatly missed by his family and community.
Steve’s Heart
Steve’s Heart is a 501(c)3 non-profit formed in Steve Bolton’s memory to provide information about healthy heart habits. Steve’s Heart also helps to provide automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to public or private entities along with the training required to operate these devices.
